ON HER OWN, cont.

MUSIC AS EXPRESSION
- How do you work?
- I work on myself, and then it comes through my music in one way or another. What's most important is to evolve as a human being connected to others. I write music to express myself. I must say what I have to say. I go through creative waves. I get inspired and work all day and night in the studio, - the creative process itself is lonely. At that point, it's just me by myself. Until I, again, reach a more social period. I work with many different tools of expression. Aside from my own repertoire, I also write music for film. I've written the music for the short films "Hindsides", which was directed by Lars Toverud, and the student film "Skin Deep". I have also composed the music for two American television documentaries.

-How would you describe your music?
- The debut CD is a mixture of jazz, rock and pop. I am pretty satisfied, but I hope I have improved in these three years of concerts and tours. I think I am a better songwriter today, - I am not so afraid to reveal myself. I dare to give 100%, to give it all. The next CD, which I think will be released late 1995, will probably have a rougher sound. Maybe also more sensual. It is not unthinkable that I'll record it in Los Angeles.
